Samsung 240Hz 1.2″ thick LED TV Model # UN46B8000, Made in June 2009, HDTV, 1080p, 720p, Sony PMW-EX1, USB Media Function DEMO, Nicole Zivkovic sings Defying Gravity

I am about to buy a new TV. Right now I am looking at either a 55″ Sony Grand Wega RP LCD or a 62″ Hitachi RP LCD. Would like some advice on which one would be a better tv. My local HH Gregg have them both with the Hitachi costing about $100 more. Or should I go with DLP and if so what is the best brand?
