i saw no uses in the 8000 or 7000 series that i needed. I usually always have my ipod touch with me and i could get rss feeds from there as well.

@Kerpaltheballer really all man i just got mine this past friday for $1499.99 at best buy too, you should have waited, or if you wanted to spend that much $ get the 240hz or the 8 or 7 series for nearly the same price as the 2grand you dished out

  5. paulchiu says:

    at this sizing, yes.
you will need a larger and more expensive plasma that could better this set with the blacks.

  9. Kerpaltheballer says:

i personally bought the 6000 series for 2000 dollars from bestbuy last month. It is an amazing tv. The reason why i didnt buy a higher model is because i already have a ps3 (with linux loaded on) so i can already web browse. I also have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

The quality is still REALLY GOOD (it is an led afterall) and the 4 hdmi inputs are always a plus along with the vga connection which i really like since i bought a netbook to keep connected to my entertainment unit.

  10. paulchiu says:

    i still would

  11. Northweeeezie says:

i checked mine at pc richards, a local new york chain.

  21. UltraComboer says:

What store did you go to? So far WalMart and Target (in my area) don’t have any on display. Should I check BestBuy?

  22. misfit1978 says:

I’m considering that as well, too much choice though :-/

  23. paulchiu says:

  24. lukesteele1 says:

Im getting a series 6 LED 46″ Samsung today..was by far the BEST picture amongst a sea of LCD tv’s at the store. The contrast and clarity are worth it.

  25. Tr1Tech says:

The series 6 has 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio and runs 100hz so i think its brilliant. but it is an earlier model so you might have to do some research on any faults and such
